Community Commitment

Lambda Chi Alpha can make significant contributions to a chapter’s reputation on campus and to the way in which the community views Lambda Chi Alpha and fraternities in general.  Lambda Chi Alpha’s brotherhood has a long tradition and a commitment to the idea that serving others is a significant expression of our Ritual and our investment in altruistic activities.

We actively participate in our Fraternity’s National Philanthropy, called the North American Food Drive, where many chapters contribute over 100,000 lbs of food every year. In addition to this Food Drive, we host the Annual Lambda Chi Alpha Watermelon Bust. This event brings together WSU Greek Sororities to compete in numerous fun events, such as Watermelon decorating, watermelon target practice and the watermelon smash.

We also pride ourselves in helping our immediate community of Whitman County by working with the County Humane Society where this year we raised a tremendous $42,000 to go towards operational costs and the construction of a new animal shelter.
